Marangu Route – 5 to 6 Days Hike
Safari - Overview
The Marangu Route, also called the “Coca-Cola Route,” is the only Kilimanjaro trail with hut accommodations, making it a great choice for those looking for comfort during their climb. This classic route follows a direct path to the summit with gradual slopes, making it one of the easier paths to trek. However, the shorter itinerary means less time for acclimatization, making the 6-day option recommended for a higher summit success rate.
Highlights:
✅ Comfortable hut accommodations instead of tents
✅ Gentle slopes and a well-maintained path
✅ Fastest route to the summit (but less acclimatization)
✅ Stunning views of Kilimanjaro’s glaciers and landscapes
